Punggawa Social Inquiry: Journal of Crime, Culture, and Social Dynamics is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal advances social-scientific and humanistic inquiry into crime, culture, power, institutions, and social change by connecting lived experience with broader systems of meaning, inequality, authority, identity, technology, environment, and collective practices.

The journal is grounded in a relational approach to social inquiry. Social phenomena are examined through relationships among individuals, families, communities, institutions, technologies, environments, and wider social structures. Its intellectual scope is organized around three interconnected pillars: Crime, encompassing criminology, violence, victimization, social harm, criminal justice, punishment, and social control; Culture, covering meaning, identity, morality, religion, deviance, representation, memory, knowledge, and social practices; and Social Dynamics, addressing power, inequality, governance, community, social institutions, economic relations, digital society, mobility, and environmental transformation.

Through its relational and interdisciplinary orientation, Punggawa Social Inquiry seeks to strengthen dialogue across disciplines while maintaining a distinctive focus on the conditions through which crime, culture, and social dynamics are produced, experienced, contested, and transformed. Punggawa Social Inquiry is published quarterly, with issues released in March, June, September, and December.
