LEXARA: Journal of Law and Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published by Punggawa Legacy Center. The journal provides an academic forum for the development of legal scholarship concerning legislation, judicial decisions, legal institutions, regulatory practice, public policy, and contemporary legal problems. It welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, and students whose work offers a clear and meaningful contribution to the study and development of law.

The journal publishes original research articles, conceptual studies, comparative legal analyses, case notes, legislative reviews, and legal policy papers. Manuscripts may employ normative, doctrinal, comparative, empirical, socio-legal, historical, philosophical, or interdisciplinary approaches, provided that the legal dimension remains central to the research problem and analysis. Studies may address Indonesian law, foreign legal systems, international law, or legal issues involving more than one jurisdiction.

Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its relevance, originality, academic quality, ethical compliance, and conformity with the journal’s guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by independent reviewers with appropriate expertise. Editorial decisions are made on the basis of scholarly merit and are not influenced by an author’s institutional affiliation, academic position, nationality, or payment of publication charges.

LEXARA accepts manuscripts written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and is published four times a year, in January, April, July, and October.
